Chinese hackers attempted yet another attack on Indian cyberspace more than 40,300 times since last week, post-Galwan clash. As per the report available with the Indian security bureaus, most of these attacks have originated from Sichuan province, which is the headquarters of China's Cyberwarfare. 'Distributed Denial of Service' attacks were carried on Indian Space Agency in which Chinese Hackers increased the Utility Private website's requests from thousands to approximately ten lakhs which lead to the crashing of setup. The second route which hackers took was of 'Internet Protocol Hijack' in which hackers can divert internet account or traffic via China to a target for a surveillance purpose. In 2019, unconfirmed reports indicated that alerts were reportedly sent to ISRO about threats from the Chinese and the North Korean hackers just before the Vikram lander's scheduled landing. This is not the first time the Chinese Hackers have attacked cyberspace. In June and October 2008, Chinese hackers attacked NASA's Terra Earth observation satellite, where the hackers "achieved all steps required to command the satellite but did not issue commands".
