Rajshekhar Rajaharia discovered the data breach, and he stated that over 70 percent of the data belonged to users who had called JustDial's customer care number, which is "88888-88888". The data breach included information like names, email addresses, mobile numbers, gender, date of birth, and addresses of the users who had used the local/hyperlocal search service. This means that even if you haven't used the Justdial app or website, your data may have been leaked if you ever called their customer service. The unprotected interface of the Justdial website over these years is the main reason for this breach. Rajaharia stated that the company had reached out to him but has been unable to fix the issue entirely as the data is still accessible. And they said that they couldn't know how much time will they take to rectify this issue.
